Is anyone else having an issue with ndiswrapper?
I have rechecked on live cd of 0.7:
nano /etc/network/interfaces "iface wlan0 inet dhcp"
then
ndiswrapper -i /path/to/driver modprobe ndiswrapper (green wireless light illuminates in 0.7, not in 0.8) iwconfig wlan0 blah blah ifup wlan0
works fine in 0.7
does nothing at all in 0.8
JFTR: It's 0.8-rc1, not yet 0.8. ;)
Is this another udev issue, or am I stupidly missing something new I should know? Or is the module not ready for newbie consumption yet?
I updated the package to the new upstream version 1.21 (old one was 1.18), as usual it's available in the grml-repos. Can you please try that?
wget http://grml.org/repos/ndiswrapper-modules-2.6.17-grml_1.21-1+grml.06_i386.de... dpkg -i ndiswrapper-modules*.deb
JFYI: I also updated linux-wlan-ng and rt2x00 drivers.
