[Grml] hd-install and KDE desktop?

I have grml-0.7 system installed on my home PC. I tried to apt-get install kde which did installed except for some warnings about libc-2.3.6 etc.

When the deskstop is started using startkde, it just hangs and the machine has to be rebooted.

Any ideas?
