Auch 2024 finden im Rahmen von impuls im esc medien kunst labor MinutenKonzerte statt. Junge Musiker.innen präsentieren dabei Werke des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts – von klassischer Moderne bis hin zu aktuellsten Kompositionen, elektronischer Musik wie auch Improvisationen reicht hierbei das Spektrum. Eingebettet in unsere aktuelle Ausstellung Wer spielt mit uns? kann so zeitgenössische Musik abseits der klassischen Konzertbühnen hautnah erlebt werden. Der Eintritt ist frei.

WER SPIELT MIT UNS?
Während das Allgemeingültige, das Faktische und das Reale immer schwerer greifbar werden, werden das Illusionäre und Imaginäre hingegen leichter verfügbar. „Realität“ entmaterialisiert sich angesichts der Dominanz des Virtuellen. Und nicht zuletzt schaffen KI-Systeme neue Realitäten in einer materiell wirksamen Virtualität.
Das Spektrum spannt sich von einem Verständnis von Spiel als Beispiel für die kreative Auseinandersetzung mit der Welt, darin der Homo ludens seine kulturellen und persönlichen Fähigkeiten entwickelt, bis zum Spiel mit und um die Realität – von der Ausbeutung von Spiele spielenden Spieler.innen bis hin zu Propaganda, politischer Agitation und gezielter Desinformation, bis hin zur Manipulation der Nutzer.innen aktueller Technologien, die vorgegebenen Spiel-Regeln der jeweiligen Produkte hinzunehmen und letztlich selbst zum Produkt, zum Spielball zu werden.

We cordially invite you to the concert on Saturday, 25 May 2024, at 2 pm!
Minute concerts will also take place in 2024 as part of impuls at esc medien kunst labor. Young musicians will present works from the 20th and 21st centuries - ranging from classical modernism to the latest compositions, electronic music and improvisation. Embedded in our current exhibition Who is playing with us?, contemporary music away from the classical concert stages can be experienced at first hand. Admission is free.

WHO IS PLAYING WITH US?
What is at stake? Who is playing with us? Who is playing with us?
While the universally valid, the factual and the real are becoming increasingly difficult to grasp, the illusionary and the imaginary are becoming more readily available. "Reality" is dematerialising in the face of the dominance of the virtual. And last but not least, AI systems are creating new realities in a materially effective virtuality.
The spectrum ranges from an understanding of play as an example of creative engagement with the world, in which homo ludens develops his cultural and personal skills, to playing with and around reality - from the exploitation of players playing games to propaganda, political agitation and targeted disinformation, to the manipulation of users of current technologies to accept the predetermined rules of the respective products and ultimately become a product themselves, a plaything.
