Format: 1.5h Vortrag und Diskussion
In diesem Vortrag entwickelt Tobias Hoffmann in
3 Schritten, wie SIE ins Zentrum der Welt
gelangten, wie die "Produktion der allgemeinen
Meinung" in Verbindung mit cybernetischer
Weltanschauung funktioniert und zu einer
Erfolgsgeschichte von social media heute führte,
die uns die Illusion von Verbundenheit und
Freiheit suggerieren.
"In this talk, I will try to develop over three
stations of how YOU got in the centre of the
world, how “engineering (of) public consent” in
combination of a cybernetic world view lead to
the success story of social media today that
leaves us in the illusion of being connected and
free. With the advent of the computer display, a
new perspective towards to an anticipated future
is taking place. With realtime social data
minding to the aesthetics of how we see the
world, we will discuss how did the engineering
of public consent - the display scope and
aesthetics come together. "
Tobias
Hoffmann aka kiilo
New Media Artist, a Neo-Dadaist and software
programmer who likes to bridge object and code.
Kiilo's interdisciplinary and improvisational
approaches are influenced by his background of
physics, special education and new media art.
His current researches include the development
of The Turtle project, it is an educational
module for teaching young and older children
about the basic concepts of coding and physical
computing and to combine with his interests in
cybernetic art and internet of thing (IoT).

Konzert: Inevitably, Here Pei-Wen Liu
Inevitably, Here ist
eine Klanginstallation, die auf Soundscapes aufbaut,
Aufnahmen aus verschiedenen Regionen der Welt. Diese
sind in kleinen Objekten (Petrischalen) „verpackt”,
die die Klänge als QR-Codes in sich tragen. Sie
vermitteln die Unmittelbarkeit akusmatischen Hörens
und die Entdeckung eines konkreten Klangraumes.
Die Arbeit erforscht zeitgenössiche Methoden
angewandter Kunst und Technologien mit freier
Software/Open Hardware. “Inevitably, Here” dringt in
den vorhandenen akustischen Raum ein, ohne zu
versuchen, diesen zu ersetzen.

Pei-Wen Liu arbeitet in den Bereichen elektronische Kunst, digitale Kultur und experimentelle Bildung mit freier Software und Openhardware. Ihre künstlerische Praxis beinhaltet digitale Modulation, field recording, Performance und Improvisation; komponiert für Installationen, Theater, zeitgenössischen Tanz und Animation.
