wir laden Sie herzlich zur spoken word performance Dust & Shadows von und mit Lydia Lunch am Montag, 18.10.2021 um 19.30 Uhr und zur aktuellen Ausstellung nothing more human than humanoid ins esc medien kunst labor ein! Die Performance findet im Rahmen des EU-Programmes RESCUE - „Café Europa: Cultural Heritage" statt.
Der Eintritt ist frei, wir ersuchen um Anmeldung!

Dust & Shadows ist eine brachiale, tragische, humorvolle, poetische Performance, die Fragen von Sterblichkeit und Angst vor dem Tod mit politischer Macht, Krieg und Umweltkatastrophen sowie Liebe, Hoffnung und Transformation unnachahmlich verbindet.
Lydia Lunch (USA) ist Sängerin, Dichterin, Lyrikerin, Schauspielerin und Spoken-Word Performerin.

Kooperation: Das Konzert Dust & Shadows findet im Rahmen des RESCUE - Workshops „Café Europa: Cultural Heritage" statt, zu dem die Abteilung 9 Kultur, Europa, Sport des Landes Steiermark im Rahmen des Aktionsfeldes „Kultur International" einlädt.

Menschen lieben Maschinen – wir leben, haben Sex und sterben mit Maschinen.

Menschen gehen sehr schnell emotionale Beziehungen zu Humanoiden, Chatbots, Mindclons, etc. ein, sprechen schon mit smarten Lautsprechern wie mit Familienmitgliedern, FreundInnen. Wir sind nur allzu gern bereit, Roboter und Maschinen wie Sophia, Grace, Pepper, Alexa, Siri und Co wie enge Vertraute wahrzunehmen, ihnen unsere Fragen, Gedanken, Vorlieben und sogar intimste Erlebnisse mitzuteilen. Dadurch gestatten wir ihnen das Durchdringen unseres Alltags, das Eindringen in unsere privatesten Gedanken und Gefühle und ermöglichen somit nicht nur die Kontrolle, sondern auch die Manipulation und letztendlich auch die Steuerung unserer Gedanken und Gefühle.

Aber wenn es nach einem namhaften Hersteller von Humonoiden geht, brauchen wir uns um die Zukunft keine Sorgen zu machen: Wir bauen erstaunlich ausdrucksstarke, lebensechte Roboter, die vertrauensvoll und engagiert Beziehungen zu Menschen aufbauen; die dienen, unterhalten und lehren. Sie werden sich aufopfernd, treu und mit grossem Einsatz um das Wohlergehen der Menschen kümmern.

Dust & Shadows is a brute, tragic, humorous, poetic performance that inimitably combines questions of mortality and fear of death with political power, war and environmental catastrophes as well as love, hope and transformation.

Lydia Lunch (USA) is a singer, poet, lyricist, actress and spoken word performer.

Cooperation: The concert Dust & Shadows takes place within the framework of the RESCUE - Workshop "Café Europa: Cultural Heritage", to which the Department 9 Culture, Europe, Sport of the Province of Styria invites as part of the field of action "Culture International".

Humans love machines - we live, have sex and die with machines.

People are rapidly entering into emotional relationships with humanoids, chatbots, mindclones, etc., and already talk to smart speakers as if they were family or friends. We are only too willing to see robots and machines such as Sophia, Grace, Pepper, Alexa, Siri and others as trusted confidants, to share our questions, thoughts, preferences and even most intimate experiences with them. In doing so, we let them permeate our everyday lives and penetrate our most private thoughts and feelings – we allow them not only to monitor, but also to manipulate and ultimately govern our thoughts and feelings.

However, according to a well-known producer of humanoids, we do not need to worry about the future: We are building incredibly expressive, life-like robots that will establish relationships of a trusting and committed nature with humans, that will serve, entertain and teach us. They will ensure our well-being with devotion, loyalty and great dedication.
