Ausstellung: EMPATHY SWARM, CURIOUS TAUTOPHONE AND DR. DOPPLERS MACHINE
Psychophysics Machines ist eine Performance mit klanggenerierenden robotischen Apparaturen, in deren Verlauf unsere auditive Wahrnehmungsmaschinerie hinterfragt und gleichzeitig hypersensibilisiert wird, sodass sich neue Dimensionen des Hörens auftun. Im Wesentlichen geht es um eine transformative Erfahrung, die nur im Hier und Jetzt gemacht werden kann ‒ als würden uns die Roboter gleichsam in eine andere, fremde Welt versetzen, indem sie bestimmte (akustische) physikalische Effekte nutzen und verstärken, die entweder in der Natur nicht vorkommen oder nur ephemere Erscheinungen sind.

Exhibition: EMPATHY SWARM, CURIOUS TAUTOPHONE AND DR. DOPPLERS MACHINE
Psychophysics Machines uses a number of robotic sound generating apparatus where the audio perceptual engine is questioned and also crumbled into a heightened otherness where our natural state of hearing is thrown out the window. It is in essence about creating a transformative experience only occurring within the here and now.
The robots evoke an otherness or unworldliness by using and enhancing certain acoustic physical effects that either don't exist in nature or are momentary.
