Seit sechs Jahren betreiben Femke Snelting (BEL) und Jara Rocha (ESP) trans*feministische “ungehorsame” Forschung zu Paradigmen und Verfahren bzw. den ihnen zugrunde liegende Vorurteilen im Bereich von 3D-Technologien und präsentieren ihren ersten Zwischenbericht mit der Publikation Volumetric Regimes: Material Cultures of Quantified Presence. Das Buch, herausgegeben von Open Humanities Press, DATA-Browser Series, 2022, stellt technologische Praktiken in den Vordergrund, die für eine Erweiterung des Möglichen sorgen und führt verschiedene Materialien zu den politischen, ästhetischen und relationalen Systemen zusammen, in denen Körper berechnet und dargestellt werden. Die fortlaufende, multilokale Veröffentlichung von Volumetric Regimes besteht aus spielerischen Beiträgen, informellen Antworten und interaktiven Formaten, die von noch nicht bekannten und schon arrivierten Mitstreiter*innen in ihren technowissenschaftlichen Arbeiten vorgeschlagen werden.

For the past six years, Femke Snelting (BEL) and Jara Rocha (ESP) have been conducting trans*feminist "disobedient" research on paradigms and practices, or their underlying biases, in the field of 3D technologies and present their first interim report with the publication Volumetric Regimes: Material Cultures of Quantified Presence. Published by Open Humanities Press, DATA-Browser Series, 2022, the book foregrounds technological practices that provide for an expansion of the possible and brings together diverse materials on the political, aesthetic and relational systems in which bodies are calculated and represented. The ongoing, multi-local publication of Volumetric Regimes consists of playful contributions, informal responses and interactive formats proposed by as yet unknown and already established contributors to their technoscientific work.
