Am 18.07. und 19.07.2026 gibt es die Möglichkeit an einem Workshop von und mit Masahiko Takeda (JPN): WEAVING BLACK – Zeit und Raum verweben teilzunehmen (Teilnahme kostenlos, Anmeldung erforderlich).

WEAVING BLACK – Machine-Live
WEAVING BLACK ist inspiriert vom traditionellen Nishijin-Textilmotiv "Ryūsui" (fließendes Wasser). Dieses seit Jahrhunderten in Kimono- und Obi-Mustern verwendete Motiv steht für kontinuierlichen Wandel und natürliche Zyklen. Im Zentrum der Installation mit ihren Primärelementen Klang, Wasser und Licht steht die Idee der Transformation: Schwingungen mehrschichtig verwobener Klangstrukturen wirken auf eine Wasseroberfläche ein, die als Membrane dient. Die so entstehenden Wasserbilder bleiben instabil und prozessual – sie verändern sich fortwährend in Abhängigkeit von Frequenz, Intensität und räumlicher Disposition; zugleich machen sie die Verteilung und Strukturierung akustischer Prozesse im Raum sichtbar.

WEAVING BLACK – Zeit und Raum verweben
Vor dem Hintergrund, die handwerkliche Tradition des Schwarzwebens nicht fortführen zu können, entwickelt Masahiko Takeda eine andere Form des Webens. In WEAVING BLACK wird Klang selbst zum Material, das durch Überlagerung, Rhythmus und Wiederholung strukturierende Eigenschaften annimmt. Die Geste des Webens verschiebt sich vom Textilen in ein immaterielles Feld und wird als Prozess von Schwingung und Resonanz neu gefasst.

WEAVING BLACK – Machine-Live
WEAVING BLACK is inspired by the traditional Nishijin textile motif “Ryūsui” (flowing water). This motif, which has been used for centuries in kimono and obi patterns, symbolizes continuous change and natural cycles. At the heart of the installation—with its primary elements of sound, water, and light—lies the idea of transformation: Vibrations from multi-layered, interwoven sound structures interact with a water surface that serves as a membrane. The resulting water images remain unstable and process-oriented—they constantly change depending on frequency, intensity, and spatial arrangement; at the same time, they make the distribution and structuring of acoustic processes in the space visible.

WEAVING BLACK – Weaving Time and Space
Faced with the inability to carry on the artisanal tradition of black weaving, Masahiko Takeda develops a different form of weaving. In WEAVING BLACK, sound itself becomes the material, taking on structuring qualities through layering, rhythm, and repetition. The gesture of weaving shifts from the textile realm into an immaterial field and is redefined as a process of vibration and resonance.
