des Totenzaubers, der im germanischen Sprachraum vor der Christianisierung
verbreitet war. Die mit gedämpfter Stimme in geheimnisvoll flüsterndem Ton
ausgeführten, von gelegentlichen Aufschreien zerrissenen Gesänge, die den Geist
des Toten bannen und an der Rückkehr in den Körper hindern sollten, waren mit
Tanz und Opfer verbunden und ebenso bei der Leichenwache wie auch bei der
Bestattung selbst gebräuchlich. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>

ensemble mosaik uraufgeführt wurde, entsprechen komplett jenen des
Vorlagesatzes. <I>Sisu.RMX</I> fügt dem ursprünglichen Satz ein Zuspiel (und
seit 2005 auch ein Video des Kanadiers Frédéric St-Hilare) hinzu. Der an seinem

Klaviermusik IV. In den drei Großabschnitten des Werkes – nennen wir sie Sätze,
obschon Klaviermusik IV durchkomponiert ist – sind drei unterschiedliche Arten
sowie klangfarbliche Aspekte des Klaviers profiliert und eindeutig thematisiert.

size=3>Die rhythmische Struktur des ersten Satzes beruht auf einer
unregelmäßigen Konstruktion von 5:6. Der zweite Satz ist durch zwei
kontrastierende Topoi bestimmt. Schnell und flüchtig dahin huschende, latent
zweistimmige Melodiebögen werden durch ebenso zarte, fast nur angedeutete
Akkorde, meist in der Oberstimme, begleitet. Im dritten Satz bleibt die Musik
hingegen fast stehen, horcht in den Klang hinein. Wichtig ist hier das dritte
Pedal mit speziellen Sostenuto-Klängen.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>

</SPAN>200. Jahrestag der Französischen Revolution im Auftrag des Dresdener
Zentrums für zeitgenössische Musik. Rivolto meint in diesem aber Fall auch ein
altes kompositionstechnisches Verfahren der Umkehrung. Der Untertitel <I
style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">s'ouvrir et se changer</I> (sich öffnen und
sich verändern) verweist einmal auf die Situation im Juni 89 in der DDR, auf den
angestauten politischen Zustand, ist andererseits aber auch Ausdruck eines
eigenen künstlerischen Prozesses.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>

und bewahrt dabei den Geist des rivolto in verschiedenen Arten: in auffahrenden
und abstürzenden melodischen Motiven, durch schnelle Wechsel von
Klangereignissen und gegenläufigen Beziehungen der Instrumente. Der ruhelose
Gestus der einsätzigen Komposition ist gleichsam das Thema, das in mehreren
Variationen "verhandelt" wird. Motor dieser Entwicklung ist die Beziehung
zwischen den beiden Streichern - sie stellen als quasi unisono-spielendes Paar
den stetig sich ändernden Rahmen für den klanglich dynamischeren Bläser, der im
Verlauf des Stückes sein Spiel zunehmend freier gestaltet. Die Komposition hat
kein Ende, sie bricht einfach nur ab. <SPAN

size=3>Bassflöte und Viola sind sich in ihrer Klanglichkeit sehr nahe. Beide
Instrumente spielen in exakt derselben tiefen Mittellage und klingen dort ganz
ähnlich weich und seidig. Gleichzeitig stehen sich die grundsätzlich
verschiedenen Klangcharaktere eines Blas- und eines Streichinstruments
gegenüber. Die Unterschiede in Material, Bauweise und Klangerzeugung sind
immens.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN

size=3>Bassflöte und Viola verhalten sich also wie zwei Seiten derselben
Medaille. Alles was in diesem Stück passiert hat seinen Ursprung in der Spannung
dieses gleichzeitigen Nah-Und-Fern-Seins der beiden Instrumente. Die Musik folgt
der Reibungsenergie und der Eigendynamik, die aus Verschmelzen und Abstoßen
entstehen. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>

verschiedenen Regeln folgen. Nicht ein bestimmtes musikalisches Material kehrt
wieder, sondern die Zustände des Bei-Sich- und des Beieinander-Seins der
Instrumente. Sie fabulieren, singen gemeinsam, werfen sich Bälle zu, tasten
Klangräume ab, geraten in rhythmische Pulsationen. Im Unisono sind sie sich sehr
nahe und eine solistische Passage<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>wird in diesem Kontext zum Extremfall des
Zusammenspiels.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></SPAN></P>

size=3>Die Komposition "HEX" wurde 1888/1989 komponiert. Die Jahreszahl ist
insofern wichtig, als sie ein Programm entschlüsselt. Zur Erinnerung: Es war 200
Jahre nach 1789 noch möglich über geglückte oder mißglückte Revolutionen und
deren Folgen nachzudenken. Der erste Satz (der hier gespielt wird) ist mit "La
Revolution perma-nente" überschrieben. Ein ständiges Klavier-Riff (aus dem Lied
aus der Großen Französischen Revolution "Ca ira" abgeleitet) bildet den Faden
für die Kette der Kommentare und Störungen durch die anderen Instrumente.
"Revolution"<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>bedeutet ja sowohl
politischen Umbruch als auch „Drehung“. So entsteht durch ständige Neuordnung
des Materials eine Art von hektischem
