Hier finden sich Industrie-Brachen, abgewohnte Zinshäuser, Kleingärten, ein Gefängnis, Lagerstätten und jene eigenartigen Territorien, die man auf österreichisch Gstettn nennt – ungenutztes Freiland, auf dem sich zwischen wuchernder Vegetation allerhand Abfall ansammelt. Dies ist der Ort, in dem das freie Atelierhaus „Schaumbad“ mit seinen derzeit 42 Mitgliedern soeben eingezogen ist. In Besitz genommen wurden 2000 Quadratmeter einer ehemaligen Abfüllanlage für Limonaden. In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft links: eine Müll-Entsorgungsanlage. Die Nachbarschaft rechts: eine Tierkörperverwertung. Dies geschieht vielfältig, abhängig vom Temperament der beteiligten Kräfte: Es gibt Projekte von Künstler*innen, die ihre Kindheit in der Gegend verbracht haben und sich nun mit großen Heimkehrer-Gefühlen dem Vertrauten und zugleich recht fremd Gewordenen zuwenden. Andere werden zu Forschenden der Naturgeschichte lokaler Tiere und Pflanzen und der Spezies Mensch. Es wird Geschenke geben und Raubzüge, Öffentlichmachungen und Besitzergreifungen.
