Suche nach knackiger Musik ist zwei Wiener Acts aus der ComBass<br>
Crew, DJ Kadi und Christian Camille nur eines durch den Kopf gegangen:<br>
<br>
„Allright, somehow nice, but: Not Enough Bass!“<br>
<br>
DJ Kadi mit seinen legendären Skills auf den Decks und Christian
Camille mit seinen Grooveboxes hatten es satt. Die Combo wurde geboren.
In einem Amalgam aus 2-3 Decks und einigem an anderem Equipment –
Roland MC 909 zum Beispiel – rocken diese zwei die Dancefloors.<br>
<br>
Alternative Sparten der House Musik, wie Speed Garage und Bassline
House, ein wenig Techno und Breaks machen die Mischung aus, die diese
zwei zusammen seit geraumer Zeit auflegen und produzieren. Samples,
Cuts, Clicks, Fill-ins und jede Menge Spass wollen sie verbreiten.<br>
<br>
Mal sehen ob auch nach ihrem Set andere sich dann noch zu sagen trauen:<br>
„NotEnoughBass“!<br>

Veranstalter Crew moonbootz recordings und des Arcadiums mit dem Ziel
in Graz das Genre Nu-Skool Breaks auf eine regelmäßige Basis zu stellen.<br>
<br>
Was in Großbritannien bereits seit Ende der neunziger Jahre zu den
beliebtesten elektronischen Musikrichtungen zählt, will sich am
europäischen Festland, abgesehen von einer sehenswerten Szene in
Ungarn, gegen House und Techno nicht durchsetzen und bleibt nach wie
vor ein kaum beachtetes Segment. Obwohl diese Strömung nichts an
Abwechslungsreichheit missen lässt und sich vieler Elemente anderer
Segmente der elektronischen Musik bedient, scheint vielleicht gerade
dieser Aspekt das durchschnittliche Publikum zu überfordern.<br>
<br>
Doch es gibt in Österreich eine Forcierung dieser Richtung, speziell in
Wien und auch in Graz mit der Chew The Fat!-Reihe unserer Kollegen der
Zeiger-Crew. Dies wird in Zukunft mit Sicherheit die Akzeptanz und
Rezeptibilität für Nu-Skool Breaks steigern.<br>
<br>
Der Aufbau der moonbase ist im Laufen. Im Frühjahr 2008 ist ein
fulminanter Act aus London, das Zentrum dieser Richtung, in Planung.
Eine Kooperation aus insgesamt drei Veranstalter Crews aus drei
verschiedenen Bundesländern wird die Basis dieser Unternehmung bilden,
um auch gegen Grazer Subventions-Hauptabschöpfer, wie z.B. Zeiger,
bestehen zu können.<br>
