Die Installation fungiert sowohl als Ort für Performances und Workshops als auch als Treffpunkt für Passant/innen des Stadtparks, die diesen öffentlichen Raum als ihre Bühne individuell nutzen können. Die Skulptur ist eine Auftragsarbeit des Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien für die Ausstellung "Abstract Hungary" und wird nach Ende dieser auf der OFF-Biennále Budapest gezeigt.<BR><BR>Am 6. Juli wird der Künstler die audiovisuelle Performance „About Some Squares – An Abstract Lesson" mittels eines Diaprojektors und Soundeffekten zeigen. Der Titel nimmt Bezug auf das suprematistische Bilderbuch für Kinder „About Two Squares" von El Lissitzky aus dem Jahr 1922. Mit daran angelehnter visueller Sprache erzählen die abstrakten Dias, zusammen mit einfachen Textzeilen, von Lajos Kassák und den internationalen Kreisen um den Künstler. This installation will function as both a site for performances and workshops, as well as a meeting point for passersby in the city park, who will be able to use this public space as a stage for their own individual purposes. The sculpture is commissioned by Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien and will be shown after the end of the show in Graz at the Budapest OFF-Biennále Budapest.<BR><BR>On July 6, Kaszás will give the audiovisual performance "About Some Squares – An Abstract Lesson," using a slide projector and sound effect. The title refers to the suprematist picture book for kids "About Two Squares," by El Lissitzky from 1922. Using similar visual language the abstract slides with simple text lines tell a lesson on Lajos Kassák and his international circles.
