Neben den Themenschwerpunkten wie Postkolonialismus und Gender wird auch der analytische Zugang um Fragestellungen der Repräsentation in der Malerei diskutiert. Die Beschäftigung über die Darstellung von Körpern und Objekten und ihrer Materialität zieht sich durch die Ausstellung und wird in der Führung im Hinblick auf ihre kunsthistorische sowie technische Bedeutung besprochen.<BR><BR>Maja Vukoje studierte Malerei an der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien bei Maria Lassnig und Christian Ludwig Attersee. Für ihr Werk wurde sie mit folgenden Preisen ausgezeichnet: outstanding artist award, BKA Wien (2015), Österreichischer Grafikwettbewerb, Preis des Landes Burgenland (2005), Georg-Eisler-Preis der Bank Austria Creditanstalt, Wien (2004), Preis für junge europäische Malerei, Premio del Golfo, La Spezia (2000).<BR><BR><BR>--<BR><BR><BR>30-03-<BR>2017 -6 pm<BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;font-weight: bold;text-decoration:underline;" >Curator's guided tour with Sandro Droschl</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;text-decoration:underline;" ><BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';text-decoration:underline;" >on the exhibition by Maja Vukoje<BR><BR><BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" >In a guided tour through the exhibition “fuels ’n’ frumps“ the curator Sandro Droschl leads through Maja Vukoje’s oeuvre of painting. Besides the thematic focus on post-colonialism and gender the analytical approach to the subject of representation in painting will be discussed. The artist’s occupation with the portrayal of body and object and its materiality is present throughout the exhibition and will be reviewed in respect of its art historical and technical significance.<BR><BR>Maja Vukoje studied painting at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna (Maria Lassnig and Christian Ludwig Attersee).
