Russische Katalogbräute, Amateur-Pornostars aus Osteuropa, lesbische Vampire, vermisste Mädchen und „les femmes castratrices“ bevölkern Bajagićs verruchtes Bilduniversum in dem die online-Inhalte sich zu schaurig schönen Albträumen verwandeln. Dieser Talk beleuchtet auch wie die Künstlerin auf der Suche nach neuen Modellen für Körperdarstellungen und deren Überschreitungen in einer Zeit der digitalen Entmaterialisierung ihre eigene Stellung in der Kultur, Geschichte und den damit verbundenen visuellen Codes hinterfragt.<BR><BR>Natalia Sielewicz ist Kunsthistorikerin und zur Zeit Kuratorin am Museum of Modern Art in Warschau. Zuletzt kuratierte sie Projekte wie „Private Settings. Art after the Internet”, einer der ersten globalen Studien, die sich mit Auswirkungen von Kommunikationstechnologien und Datasphäre auf die zeitgenössiche Kunst und Identitätspolitik auseinandersetzt und “Bread and Roses. Artists and the Class Division” (mit Łukasz Ronduda), worin es darum geht wie Künstler_innen Ihre Stellung inmitten einer immerfort wachsenden ökonomischen Diskrepanz definieren. Sielewicz kuratiert zudem Experimenalfilm, diskursive Veranstaltungen und Performances für das Museum, beispielsweise mit Adam Linder, Manuel Pelmus und Alexandra Pirici, Korakrit Arunanondchai, DIS, Jesse Darling, Grace Ndiritu, C. Russian mail order brides, amateur porn stars from Eastern Europe, lesbian vampires, missing girls and “les femmes castratrices” occupy Bajagić's wicked visual universe where the online content morphs and mutates into a beautiful nightmare. This talk will consider how, in search of new models for representing and transgressing the body in the era of digital dematerialization, Bajagic questions her own place in culture, history and the visual codification.<BR><BR>Natalia Sielewicz is an art historian and curator currently working at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Most recently she curated “Private Settings. Art after the Internet,” one of the first global surveys tackling the impact of communication technologies and datasphere on contemporary art and identity politics and “Bread and Roses. Artists and the Class Division” (with Łukasz Ronduda), exploring the ways through which artists define their status and position in the realm of an ever-widening economic gap. She also curates experimental film, discursive events and performance for the museum, such as the performances by Adam Linder, Manuel Pelmus and Alexandra Pirici, Korakrit Arunanondchai, DIS, Jesse Darling, Grace Ndiritu, C.
