Ihr Großvater hatte sich 1944 den Partisanen angeschlossen, wurde verhaftet und wartete dreieinhalb Monate im Straflandesgericht Graz auf seine Hinrichtung. Er entkam der Vollstreckung des Todesurteils.</span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><strong>Das Flügelhorn<o:p></o:p></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><strong><span style="font-weight: normal; ">Seit sie denken kann liegt das Flügelhorn am Wohnzimmerschrank ihrer Eltern in Ferlach. Man hat es ein, zweimal im Jahr aus dem Stoffsackerl genommen und die Kinder durften versuchen es zum Klingen zu bringen. Woher es stamme? Ihr Vater erzählt: Vom Rückzug. Nach Kriegsende, bevor man die Grenze zu Jugoslawien endgültig schloss seien zehntausende Menschen aus dem Süden kommend, über den Loiblpass Richtung Norden gezogen – das Tal wäre voll gewesen, mit Menschen die ihr ganzes Hab und Gut bei sich trugen, Holzkarren - im Stau. „Alles“ sei liegengeblieben. Geschirr, Möbelstücke. So auch dieses Flügelhorn.<o:p></o:p></span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><strong><span style="font-weight: normal; ">2015: Seit mehr als 20 Jahren hatte sie das Instrument nicht mehr in der Hand. Es kommt ihr während der Arbeit zum aktuellen Text in den Sinn, ja es war noch immer am Wohnzimmerschrank. Am Instrument liest sie zum ersten Mal bewusst die Gravur: Musikhaus Horn, Apatin. <a href="https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apatin"><span style="color: windowtext; text-decoration: none; ">https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apatin</span></a> : Stadt in der Vojvodina, Serbien.</span></strong> <strong><span style="font-weight: normal; ">Apatin hatte im Jahre 1820 bereits 5.389 Einwohner, darunter 5.316 Deutsche. 1881 zählte man 11.973 Einwohner (…). Bis 1944 war Apatin mit rund 14.000 Bewohnern die größte deutsche Gemeinde in Jugoslawien.</span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><strong><span style="font-weight: normal; "><o:p> </o:p></span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><strong><span>Petra Kohlenprath, auf die Frage wo denn ihre Wurzeln seien:</span></strong></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 13px; "><i><span lang="DE-AT">Sie stamme aus einer österreichischen Familie. Ihr Vater ist 1939 in einer slowenisch sprechenden Familie in Loibltal/Brodi geboren und heiratete 1966 ihre aus dem damaligen Jugoslawien, heute Slowenien, stammende Mutter. Sie hat keine Erinnerung dran, ob denn die Eltern „mehr slowenisch“ oder „mehr deutsch“ mit ihr gesprochen hätten. Es waren im Alltag, ob zu Hause oder in der Öffentlichkeit, immer beide Sprachen präsent. Kulturelle Tätigkeiten (Chor, Musikschule, Theater) und Kirche waren aber immer slowenisch besetzt, wie auch die Wochenendausflüge nicht in österreichische Gegenden stattfanden, sondern ins damalige Jugoslawien führten. Warum sie denn nicht ins slowenische Gymnasium ginge, dafür musste sie sich regelmäßig vor Schulkollegen und sie fragende Erwachsene, rechtfertigen – auch vor Angehörigen der slowenischen Minderheit. Um dies zu kaschieren, wurden ausgewählte historische Ereignisse auf den für ideologiefrei erklärten Begriff der „Heimattreue“ abgestützt und in Form von Denkmälern, Landesfeiern, Festaufmärschen usw. einprägsam inszeniert. Auf diese Weise sollten jene Ereignisse im kollektiven Bewusstsein verankert werden, die ins herrschende Paradigma passten.
