Der in ihren Arbeiten präsente Tintenfisch als körperliche Metapher der ständigen Transformation und kontinuierlichen Produktion von Bildern, Sprache und Bedeutung ist auch Protagonist im Titel ihres Vortrags. Darin wird die Künstlerin über ihre jüngste Arbeit sprechen, im Besonderen über ihre Verwendung der Spracherkennungssoftware, der digitalen Sprachsynthese und das computergeneriete Sprechen.<BR>Anna Barham (geboren 1974 in Sutton Coldfield) lebt in London. Vor ihrem Studium an der Slade School of Fine Art (1997 – 2001) studiere Barham Mathematik und Philosophie. Zwei Fachbereiche die kennzeichnend für ihren künstlerischen Umgang mit Sprache und Bildern sind. Barham verschlüsselt Informationen in ihren (Sprach-)Experimenten mit technologischen Hilfsmitteln. Halle für Kunst und Medien, the squid represents the constant transformation and continual production of images, speech, and meaning. The artist will discuss her recent work on digital voice synthesis, computer-generated language, and the voice recognition software she has been using.<BR>Anna Barham (b. 1974 in Sutton Coldfield) lives in London. Before her studies at the Slade School of Fine Art (1997 – 2001) she studied philosophy and math, two fields that characterize her dealings with language and images in art. Barham decodes information in her (linguistic) experiments with the aid of technological means.
