<p>Das Duo-Projekt “My Daily Noise” entstand aus der langjährigen Zusammenarbeit von Daniel Buess und Kasper Toeplitz, u.a. durch diverse Projekte mit dem Ensemble Phoenix Basel, durch die<br /> gemeinsame Realisierung verschiedener von Toeplitz’ Kompositionen für Perkussion und Elektronik, sowie auch durch den vor einem Jahr verstorbenen Musiker und Komponisten Zbigniew Karkowski. Buess und Toeplitz erkannten sehr schnell ihre gemeinsame Affinität für extreme Frequenzen, hoch energetische Musik und ihre Vorliebe für grosse Trommeln, tiefe Gongs und Subbass. So entstand über die Jahre die Idee, diese gemeinsamen Interessen in Form eines Duo-Projekts zusammenzubringen. Im Zentrum von “My Daily Noise” stehen zwei grosse Trommeln und Toeplitz’ selbst entwickeltes Bass-/Computer-System, einer Art Hybriden-Instrument. Anfang 2014 trafen sich Buess und Toeplitz im Studio zu mehreren Tagen Proben und Aufnahmen, das Ergebnis davo!
n sind
mehrere Stunden aufgenommenes Material und viele musikalische Ideen und Inspirationen.
