FEW/D 1971_4. <br>Courtesy the artist, Galerie KOW, Berlin <br><br><br>Je deutlicher man sich vom medial vermittelten Konsens einer liberalen, demokratischen<br>Gesellschaft abgrenzt, umso stärker scheint das Bedürfnis nach der Konstruktion einer<br>Wirklichkeit zu werden, die ihren eigenen Konventionen und Regeln folgt. „Realness Respect“<br>zeigt aktuelle performative Entwürfe, die auf die spürbare Differenz zwischen subjektiv<br>wahrgenommener und medial vermittelter, gemeinsamer Realität reagieren. Doch wo politische<br>Kunst sich mit dem Verhältnis von Ästhetik und Realität auseinandersetzt, stellt sich schnell<br>die Frage nach der Autonomie und der Stellung des Kunstwerks, auf Basis derer Künstlerinnen<br>und Künstler konkrete und kritische Arbeit an gesellschaftlichen Themen leisten. But when political<br>art examines the relationship of aesthetics and reality, the question soon arises as to <br>the autonomy and status of the art work, based on which artists achieve concrete, <br>critical work on social issues.
