Zahnbürsten, Bücher, Computer, Betten, Tische, Stühle, Kleidung, <br>Autos, aber auch Wohnungsschlüssel, Kontokarten oder Reisepässe werden in den Räumlichkeiten des<br>Kunstverein Medienturm zu einem Gesamtvolumen geschichtet. Ihre ursprüngliche Funktion wird aufgehoben, <br>sie werden in einem Bestandsverzeichnis gelistet und in skulpturaler Form öffentlich gemacht. Durch<br>das Aufnehmen des Bestands, den Transfer und die performative Neuordnung wird die Medialität der<br>Dinge erkennbar. Ein begleitendes Künstlerbuch dokumentiert konzeptuell konsequent nicht die<br>Installation in Graz, sondern die nun leeren Wohn- und Arbeitsräume der Künstler/ innen und all die<br>Dinge, die sich über die Ausstellungsdauer nach und nach wieder ansammeln. Das Künstlerbuch erscheint<br>im Verlag für Moderne Kunst, Nürnberg. <a href="http://www.medienturm.at/mt.php?id=2&sid=365&k=full&_pid=970&sp=DE">Langversion</a><br>--<br><br>Am 20.4.2012 eröffnen ab 18 Uhr zur jeweils vollen Stunde der Grazer Kunstverein, Camera Austria, <br>Kunstverein Medienturm und < rotor > ihre Ausstellungen, die an diesem Tag alle von 18 bis 22 Uhr<br>geöffnet sind. Als Rahmenprogramm werden begleitende Veranstaltungen und Dialogführungen durch<br>die Ausstellungen angeboten. Ein kostenloser Bus-Shuttle wird bei der Wiener Oper um 15 Uhr bereitgestellt<br>und fährt um 23 Uhr von Graz retour. CMRK ist ein Verbund von vier unabhängigen Grazer Institutionen, <br>deren gemeinsames Interesse die Vermittlung von zeitgenössischer Kunst im internationalen Kontext ist. <br>--<br><br><br><b>VIEW MAY BE DENIED BY CARGO <br>Nicole Six and Paul Petritsch</b><br><br>Opening 20.4.2012, 8 p.m. <br><span lang=EN-US>21.4. – 9.6.2012<br>Kunstverein Medienturm, Josefigasse 1, A-8020 Graz<br>Artist book available <span style='color:#1F497D'><br></span>On April 20, the exhibition is open from 6 – 10 p.m.<br><br></span>For the project the artists Nicole Six and Paul Petritsch experiment with all of their possessions: <br>objects that are necessary for their daily routine or the outcome of their work, even though the<br>items appear to be useless. Toothbrushes, books, computers, beds, tables, clothes, cars, but also<br>the keys to their apartment, bank cards, or passports are amassed in the Kunstverein Medienturm<br>premises. The original function of those objects is suspended, for they are listed in an inventory<br>and presented to the public in sculptural form. This inventory, the transfer, and the objects’<br>performative rearrangement elucidate the mediality of things. The accompanying artist book documents, <br>with conceptual consistency, not the installation in Graz but the artists’ now empty living and <br>work spaces, as well as all of the things that slowly accumulate again over the course of the exhibition. <br>The artist book is published by Verlag für Moderne Kunst, Nuremberg. <a href="http://www.medienturm.at/mt.php?id=2&sid=365&k=full&_pid=970&sp=EN">Long version</a><br>-- <br><br>On April 20, 2012 beginning at 6 p.m., the Kunstverein Graz, Camera Austria, Kunstverein Medienturm<br>and < rotor > will host exhibition openings remaining open until 10 p.m. A supporting program with<br>guided tours and other events is provided.
