und Attraktivität von <BR>KünstlerInnenmythen und stellt diese der
ökonomischen und <BR>gesellschaftlichen Stellung zeitgenössischer
KünstlerInnen <BR>gegenüber. Der Inhalt alter Mythen hat sich bis heute nicht
<BR>wesentlich verändert und wird immer wieder neu geschrieben <BR>und
variiert. Für ihre Verbreitung und Nachhaltigkeit sorgen <BR>vor allem die
populären Massenmedien, in denen meist ein <BR>männlicher Geniekult zelebriert
wird. Die ausgewählten <BR>künstlerischen Arbeiten sowie die für die
Ausstellung <BR>produzierten Rechercheprojekte des KuratorInnenteams
<BR>beschäftigen sich mit kursierenden Vorstellungen von <BR>KünstlerInnen und
deren medialer Verfasstheit. Zudem <BR>reflektieren sie gesellschaftliche
