[Grml] still no ndiswrapper

Dear friends,

8 is great,  but, without ndiswrapper, useless to me.

modprobe ndiswrapper apparently loads the module, as the relevant section of 
lsmod

"usbcore                967768 
ndiswrapper,usb_storage,ohci_hcd,uhci_hcd,ehci_hcd"

shows it to be present, but iwconfig wlan0 tells me there is no such device.

The only difference I can see in wlan folder in etc is that there is some sort 
of srcipt.  

The point is, the module does nothing, and I cannot connect to the world.

Any ideas?
