mischen Anforderungen haben diese Transportkisten aus Holz eine standardisierte Form, normierte Maße (50 x 50 x 50 cm), eine optimierte Konstruktion und eine zertifizierte Ausführung. Jeder der beteiligten KünstlerInnen hat somit den exakt gleichen Raum in der exakt gleichen Qualität zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, nämlich 1/8 Kubikmeter, und die bedingungslose Freiheit, diesen Raum in welcher Form auch immer zu nutzen. Sie sollen sich in diese Kisten einschmiegen, sensibel oder radikal in sie eingreifen, sie auseinandernehmen oder überformen, sie transformieren oder in ihrer rohen Konstruktion belassen.</span></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT"> </span></p><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><b><span lang="DE-AT">minimal - optimal</span></b></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT">Donald Judd hat mit seinen specific objects das Objekt im Zwischenraum von Malerei und Skulptur verankert. Die neutralen Kuben der Minimal Art hatten zwar ebenso auf ihre industrielle Fertigung verwiesen, wollten aber nicht mehr sein als sie sind. „What you see is what you see“ lautete das berühmte Diktum von Frank Stella. Die Überseekisten, die Ausgangspunkt, Struktur und verbindende Klammer des Projekts „Einschmiegen“ sind, verweisen durch ihre Form und Konstruktion jedoch a priori eindeutig auf den globalisierten Handel und damit auch auf den Kunstmarkt und das Betriebssystem Kunst. Sie spiegeln paradigmatisch die kapitalistischen Anforderungen der Mobilität, Flexibilität und Vernetzung, die unter dem Schlagwort „Globalisierung“ die Gesellschaft und unser Wesen als Mensch nachhaltig beeinflussen,<a href="x-msg://5/" name="_ftnref" title=""><span class="MsoFootnoteReference"><span>[1]</span></span></a> und konfrontierten die Künstlerinnen und Künstler daher von Anfang an mit einem bedeutungsschweren Kontext.</span></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT"> </span></p><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT">Dieser Kontext wurde von ihnen kritisiert, konterkariert, ironisiert oder ignoriert. Hermann Glettler warf die Kiste vom Kirchturm, Zweintopf setzten sie unter Strom, Werner Reiterer stülpte ihr eine große rosa Blase über, Ronald Kodritsch versah sie mit dem Statement „Diese Frage soll man sich nicht zu oft stellen“, Ona B verpackte eine ganze Ausstellung in ihr und Josef Wurm wollte sie mit einem Bündel Würsten in die Luft sprengen. Es wurden kleine Ausstellungen und Istallationen in den Kisten und auf ihnen angebracht und natürlich das Betriebssystem Kunst adressiert: GRAM verschlossen die Kiste mit einem Spanngurt und zitierten eine Arbeit von Robert Morris, Sabine Hörtner markierte die Begrenzungen der Außenseiten mit ihren farbigen Linien und Markus Wilfling ließ die Kiste öffnen und den Inhalt zu Bruch gehen.</span></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT"> </span></p><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><b><span lang="DE-AT">plug-in</span></b></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; "><span lang="DE-AT">Die uniformen Holzkisten sind Habitat für die Kunst und zugleich deren Transportbehältnis. Ein </span><span lang="DE-AT" style="color: rgb(16, 18, 27); ">multifunktioner Trailer ist das Transportmittel, mit dem die 30 Reiseskulpturen schnell und unkompliziert zu beliebig vielen anderen Orten Europas gebracht werden und jederzeit in deren</span><span lang="DE-AT"> bestehende Systeme eingebunden werden </span><span lang="DE-AT" style="color: rgb(16, 18, 27); ">können. Es gibt diesebzüglich </span><span lang="DE-AT">ein enges Nahverhältnis, ein Anschmiegen, wenn man so möchte, an die visionären Plug-in-Architekturen der 1960er-Jahre. Obwohl plug-in als Begriff heute fast ausschließlich im Zusammenhang mit Computer-Software und dem Internet verwendet wird, wurde er vor 50 Jahren von der Architektengruppe Archigram für die Vision einer Stadt geprägt, die aus einer erweiterbaren Trägerstruktur mit flexiblen und modularen Wohneinheiten bestehen sollte. Die Idee einer Wohnkapsel, einer Raumzelle, die überall an ein bestehendes Versorgungssystem angedockt werden konnte und sofort in ein globales Kommunikationssystem eingebunden war, bot ein Maximum an Flexibilität, Kommunikation und gesellschaftlicher Partizipation bei gleichtz
